Karma

In 2010, I often picked up print work at a local copier.
The owners of that shop had a charcoal purple Great Dane named Karma. She was a gentle giant, a sweetheart who lounged all day, getting up only to politely nudge my hand for pets. I thought, if I took her picture and made a pencil drawing as a "gift" for her owner, it could turn into free advertisement for my portraits... and the business of drawing dogs took off.
